Loro Park (also known as ‘Loroparque’ in Spanish) is a man-made paradise featuring parrots, killer whales, sea lions, dolphins, penguins, gorillas, chimpanzees, jaguars, tigers, alligators, sharks and many other animals: You will need a full day to enjoy the entire park.
The permanent mild climate in Tenerife allows to easily host these tropical animals.
Located in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife North), Loro Park is home to the world’s largest collection of parrots, an aquarium with a shark tunnel, a planet of penguins, and shows of dolphins, sea lions and parrots which makes it the popular holiday attraction in Tenerife.
In our favorite list of ‘musts’ in Tenerife, Loro Park would be our favorite man-made attraction, and it would be in 2nd position in the overall, after ‘Las Cañadas del Teide‘ national park.
Loro Park is opened the whole year.
Loro Park you are guilty of crimes against the animal kingdom. Orcas and dolphins do not belong to you or anyone. You are betraying a sacred trust by telling your paying public that this is educational.
It has come to my attention that an Orca named Morgan, is being misstreated in your park. This makes me wonder what other animals in our care are being neglected. You need to fix the situation. Now that the story is going viral on FB you’re gonna lose business anyway. Please do the right thing, and take care of Morgan. Thnk you.
Your park is a true disgrace. You show no respect for the lives of these imprisoned animals and add to the abuse by keeping them in inappropriate conditions.
