Tenerife Carnival 2007

Carnival Tenerife 2007

The Tenerife Carnival is a 4-week event held across the island, with the main celebrations taking place in the North side of the island, near Santa Cruz. Said to be the best known carnival after Rio de Janeiro, the Tenerife Carnival features costumes, music, processions and street entertainment. The Carnival gets officially running with the election of the Carnival Queen, followed by a great parade a few days later and ends with the Burial of the Sardine, ritual conducted throughout the island.
